I have been a Republican since the 80s ... but more independent than not ...

Trump is the first pres where ... i have to admit ... i just do not get it .

He is so odd ... so disjointed and hard to listen to .

I frankly do not believe a word he says ... at this point .

Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

Yeah, he's unhinged from reality, if he's proposing that the Democratics give in to his healthcare plan, when his own party voted against it.

800 Billion? Source? and if that is what they are cutting it needs to be cut.

here is one thing I want in the new insurance law.

for so-called pre-existing conditions: Basically, we all have a window to get coverage. Once covered as long as you maintain coverage you can move to other comparable plans or a different plan with conditions (such as a physical or some other means to ensure you are otherwise healthy or that conditions are disclosed). Once the window closes (say 6 months) then any new sign ups have conditions and wait times and other limits to coverage. This is to make sure people get coverage and keep covered.

If a person loses their coverage they will have a rolling window of not being covered of say 6 months for 3 years.

If you fail to do so then again there are extended wait times and limits and conditions to become covered again.

to me, that is a better means to motivate people to get coverage. As it is not the fines are lower than most plans. And where do those fines go? they ought to go to insurance companies as they are the ones that under the ACA would have to cover someone who pays the fine until he needs it and then signs up!

He has no idea how to do that ^ and cannot be educated.

Yep - it's a shit bill. We can only pray that the Republican senators will not further screw over their constituencies the way the congressmen did.

Seriously pathetic. disbelief

oh you believe the ACA is great and lowering the cost and improving the care and I see it driving up the cost and making care harder to get... oh you need a specialist to replace your ear drum? well, there are none in your network and you can not file for an exception because any ENT can do that... it is not like hearing is BOTH ears is all that vital.

The repubs/conservs mission was to destroy Obama's legacy. They didn't give a crap about what works for Americans. We may see some angry folks at town hall meetings. Nothing historic about the change in this healthcare bill. The older Americans will be the ones suffering. I hope in the next election, if it doesn't get rigged, vote these assholes out of office.

2E the GOP does not give a shit about people - if they did they would have come up with (and had 7 years to do it) a plan that helped instead of hurt the most vulnerbale in our country- that is not what they are or ever will be known for.

yeah, some are confused. what is funny are the ones that say "I do not have Obamacare I get my coverage through my job" but unless you are subject to the tax penalty you are on Obamacare...what they mean is they do not have an exchange plan. (one dr office asked me if my blue cross was Obamacare or employee provided..." i lied and said "Obamacare" she said "we do not take that" I lied again "No I said 'not Obamacare' it is through [my employeer]" but it was the pretty much the same plan)
