Kanye to quit politics!

.
It's a febrile and fast-moving political world we're living in, and one never knows what new bombshell is around the next corner. But yesterday American politics - nay, global politics - was thrown into crisis by the announcement that one of its most loquacious voices would henceforth be silent on matters of state.

Kanye 'Ye' West stunned his millions of followers by announcing his decision to step back from frontline political messianism and refocus on his creative careers in music and leather sports trousers, twittering:

facebook-linked_image___kanye.png

Aghast citizens lined the streets of national capitals, watching developments unfold on flickering screens, with the fearful eyes of lost seamen seeing clouds engulf the Pole Star, leaving them drifting through darkness. The Dow dropped 400 points, then later rallied, before stabilising again by the end of the day, leaving graphs of its progress looking like a man's smile, which suddenly transitions to a look of abject dourness.

But some insisted on seeing the positive, taking the announcement of a new historical epoch as a time to reflect on the important and memorable events of West's political career - such as the time he wore a hat, and the time he talked about wearing said hat. "Politics was nothing before Ye came along", said one devotee. "You could say he made that bitch famous."

He must have got back on his meds.

He's just like Trump, always seeking attention.

He's no-talented as an artist.

He's no-talented as a political operative.

He's no-talented in everything I've seen him attempt.

His hat wearing was visionary. nod Before Kanye, people thought wearing a hat was just a banal gesture, and that no-one would imagine it was a big contribution to political debate. But, after Kanye.... well, people still think that... but, look, Kanye was very pleased with his hat, ok??

In fairness, I quite like him as a producer - at least, some of the stuff he did back in the day. music

But, yes, his forays into politics have been masterclasses in twattery.

Anything to be in headlines and we all need to collectively slapped for giving him this much attention over nothing. The man don't vote and neither so 90% of his minions.

He didn't vote in 2016?!? LMMFAO.

All that no-talent yahoo did was jump on a bandwagon after the fact. He didn't have enough courage to support Trump until AFTER Trump won.

Typical Republican.

He is talented. I still don't know what someone like Kanye brings to the table politically? Besides he was attacked for wearing a MAGA hat. Something more than a movement but the latest fashion trend.

Exactly! Hopefully he'll just go away completely now. But, I highly doubt that as he's nothing but a media whore these days.

I can't speak for his talent but all this media attention for somebody who doesn't contribute a thing to the political or even community arena beyond a bit of grandstanding says way too much about what we the people are really interested in. A bunch of glitter with no substance. It's disappointing.

What the hell is he even talking about? Did he have some sort of epiphany or a med change? Either way, I think we can all now breathe a collective sigh of relief...if anyone really gives a shit.

He wasn't attacked - his behavior was called out! He went off on some half-crazed rant about Trump to a captive SNL staff - then he followed it up with a bizarre WH appearance.

Dude is in serious need of meds.

His early work as a producer was commendable - but his own persona and single work is not my cup'o'tea

So, this isn't about Trump, it's about the Blexit movement that he, now, doesn't want to be associated with.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kanye in the next few years decides to run for some kind of office. Its obvious what it takes to win and he's got gallons of it.
