Jim Acosta of CNN's press pass has been pulled

This is a bunch of shit.

The White House suspended the press credentials of CNN reporter Jim Acosta on Wednesday, hours after President Trump took issue with questions Acosta asked at a news conference.

The move to punish Acosta by removing his access to the White House is believed to be unprecedented. The Trump administration barred another CNN reporter from attending an open media event in July but until now has not gone as far as removing a credential, known as a “hard pass,” which enables a journalist to enter the White House grounds.

Press secretary Sarah Sanders cited Acosta’s brief physical confrontation with a White House press aide during Trump’s news conference as the reason for suspending his press pass “until further notice.

  • In the First Amendment the Founding Fathers gave the free press the protection it must have to fulfill its essential role in our democracy. The press was to serve the governed, not the governors. The Government's power to censor the press was abolished so that the press would remain forever free to censure the Government. The press was protected so that it could bare the secrets of government and inform the people. Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government.

-

I read that the video that Sarah released was sped up or doctored to make it seem as if he "assaulted" her. She probably got it from their friends over at Newsmax or Infowars editing room.

-

As far as Acosta is concerned or the WH Press in general, I'd say, they should boycott their asses. It's not like we're getting any valuable information from those news briefings anyway. I would deny donald the attention he craves. (Starve the beast)

-

Remember, this is the guy that lamented about how the national conversation changed after the massacres last week because the attention was off of what he wanted people to talk about. This isn't normal and the press and everyone else needs to stop treating him as if he's normal.

-

Regardless of him being president, they should deny him coverage.

It happened after Trump repeatedly asked to give up the mic and the female went over to take it and Acosta grabbed and held onto it.

Yes, the video that Sarah shared has been doctored up. The liars keep lying.

She did try to take the microphone out of Acosta's hand. In other words, any "brief physical confrontation" was initiated by the White House aide.

That is what it looked like to me too. She kept trying to grab the mic and he held on to it. There was no assualt - his hands were not on her at all.

I get you, but the members of the press are far too professional to do that. Journalists will literally place their lives in danger to get the truth to the people. They aren't going to let a wanna-be dictator like Trump stop them from doing their jobs.

A. It was not assault. Touching another person in itself is not assault. Jim put his hand out and would not give up the mic or if the WH staffer touched Jim trying to take away the mic was not an assault. Not assault.

B. Acosta cries about people yelling "CNN Sucks" at Trump rallies and they are free to do so. They make it out to be an ATTACK ON THE PRESS! ZERO SYMPATHY OR FUCKS GIVEN. NO ASSAULT ON EITHER SIDE.

C. The video they are pissed at that slowed down from infowars was not doctored it was slowed down. They just hate the source.

D. He should be ejected for making a mockery of the press conference. His First Amendment Rights were not violated by not having access to TRUMP!

He must be referencing the edited version, the fake one, the one that fits into his paranoid, conspiracy mindset. The one that Sarah Sanders, the professional white house liar was referencing.

Even if he did I don't believe it was an assault. Lightly pushing someone away from taking away a mic is not an assault. Now can he be banned for being a disruptive reporter that won't shut up when asked at a conference? YES. Obama did same.
