Trump Russia and all things related Part 3

Time for another one of these in lieu of the election results, the Sessions removal and the appointment of some fan to head the DOJ.

Mueller report must really contain some
Incriminating shit to have the asshole in chief so scared.

Is appointing someone who has not been
Congressionally approved allowed?

Mueller report has nothing... as van jones said it is and always was a nothing burger. From what I have learned the report is all but finished--and will be released soon.

YES, the president can make a recess appointment... but only if the Senate is in an actual recess... are they? remember Obama tried to do the same thing when the Senate was NOT in a true recess... it will be up to the Senate leadership to answer that question (that is if they say "we are not in recess" and as long as they do whatever needs to be done to prevent being in a recess (and this seems to be 100% up to the majority leadership) then it can be undone.

On Friday, President Trump responded to criticism that he appointed Whitaker in order to rein in the investigation, saying he has not spoken to him about the probe. The president also said, "I don't know Matt Whitaker," even though he has met with him more than a dozen times. In October, President Trump also told Fox News, "Matt Whitaker's a great guy. I mean, I know Matt Whitaker."

Adding to the concerns of Democrats is Whitaker's ties to a witness in the Mueller investigation: Sam Clovis. In 2014, Whitaker chaired Clovis's campaign for Iowa state treasurer. Clovis went on to work as an adviser to the Trump campaign, and is believed to be one of the campaign officials who spoke with another aide, George Papadopoulos, about overtures Papadopoulos was getting from Russians in London.

The Washington Post, citing "two people close to Whitaker," reported on Thursdaythat the new acting attorney general has no intention to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.

The draft dodging piece of shit.

Trump, just back from Paris where he canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in France has now canceled a Veterans Day trip to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. It was raining in France and rain is in the forecast in Washington but it’s not supposed to begin until tonight. Sunday was officially Veteran’s Day but the government holiday is today.

Just after 10 a.m. this morning, the White House put on a “travel lid” meaning Trump isn’t leaving the White House.

It has become an unofficial president event for the commander in chief to visit Arlington and lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier on Veterans Day.

Given your recent success in predicting judicial outcomes, you may want to hold off on this one.

except I said it was not a 1A issue and the judge agreed you were wrong when you made up that they did not address it. in fact, the ruling said they could ban likely ban, someone if they had a system in place of rules and a means of due process.

Manafort is going down.... see if he will try to save himself by telling THE TRUTH - Trump will not be able to save him, I don't think. shrug

Opposite. Manafort's entire strategy now is Trump Pardon. I'm betting that he's had some back-channel confirmation that sooner or later he's going to be pardoned by Trump.

I wonder if Manafort will somehow get indicted in state court? No Trum pardon there.

NY State has all the info. They can prosecute and Trump does not hold pardon power there.

If they can PROVE that Manfort lied to the FBI and SC, isn't that yet another crime they can add on to the list? Can Trump pardon someone who has without a doubt lied to the FBI?

After Manafort plead guilty and struck a deal with Speical Council - his lawyers briefed the president's lawyers about PM's discussions with the SC. If the Prez is dangling a pardon = obstruction of justice?

Remember the Pre cannot pardon state crimes, only federal.

It would be awesome if the Mueller team realized that Manafort was a rat and told him incorrect stuff that they knew he'd pass on to Trump.
