Zimmerman Sues Trayvon's Family for 100 MIL

So, I guess you can shoot and kill an unarmed teen who was doing nothing but returing home after a visit to the local convenience store for skittles - and then sue their family for millions.

https://www.npr.org/2019/...00-million

George Zimmerman is suing the family of the teenager he shot nearly eight years ago, seeking more than $100 million from Trayvon Martin's parents, their attorney and others. Zimmerman claims he was the victim of a conspiracy, along with malicious prosecution and defamation.

Martin's family has responded with a statement saying there's no evidence to back Zimmerman's contentions that he was the victim of a conspiracy.

Zimmerman was acquitted on all charges related to his shooting of Martin, who was 17 and unarmed when Zimmerman shot and killed him in a gated Florida community where Martin's father lived. Zimmerman claimed he shot Martin in self-defense during a scuffle. Zimmerman had faced charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter in the case, which also shed light on Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law.

Zimmerman and his lawyer, the controversial attorney Larry Klayman, allege that Rachel Jeantel, a key witness for the prosecution who testified about being on the phone with Martin just before the shooting, was an impostor. They accuse her of standing in for another teenager, Brittany Diamond Eugene, whom the suit describes as Jeantel's half sister who did not want to testify in the case.

I am not sure if the accusations are founded or not (but the source is highly questionable and lacks credibility) - but he was already acquitted. Whether you agreed with the verdict or not - the public has already made up their minds about Zimmerman. For those who thought he was a scumbag - well, this law suit seems to confirm that.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/film-alleging-witness-fraud-in-trayvon-martin-case-sparks-100-million-suit_3164714.html

"He [Zimmerman] worked for a fraud auditor company, studied for a criminal justice degree in the evenings, and, on Sundays, mentored two black teenagers whose father was in prison for life.

In 2010, he waged a one-man flyer campaign to bring to justice the son of a police lieutenant who, while drunk, punched a homeless black man.

Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, was an Obama-voting Democrat, “a liberal social activist, both walking the walk and talking the talk.”

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

FTR - The guy has done many jerky things, he does have anger issues, and he definitely has a chip on his shoulder that caused him to continue following Trayvon which he never, ever should have done. I have always put partial blame on Zimmerman for the tragedy because he should have stopped following Martin.

But forensics and witnesses indicate he was attacked and shot in self defense. And there's extensive case file documents, including Martin’s phone records, with social media posts, handwriting analysis, and DNA matching that indicate the person on the phone with Martin at the time was not the same person who testified.

There's only 6 states in the US that don't allow Open Carry: Cali, FL, IL, NY, SC, DC. While SC's gun murder rate is DOUBLE that of Texas, DC's is 6 TIMES that of Texas! https://en.m.wikipedia.or...s_by_state

he is garbage and this should get dismissed with prejudice. How was he damaged? Her story did not hurt him. Her testimony did not defame him. Its most interesting aspect was is is an example of allowable hearsay. If anyone has a case in this issue it would be the Martins...

How was he damaged?

A fake witness lied while testifying.

Zimmerman had two attorneys.

One charges $350 an hour.

The other charges $400 an hour.

Each billed Zimmerman for 3,000 hours.

Like I said, I'm not a fan of the guy but if an imposter witness was used (and all evidence points to it) then he certainly has a case. The lawyers wouldn't waste their time and effort if they didn't think so.

Sure the $100 million amount is ridiculous, but it's common strategy for lawsuits to start with outrageous amounts.

He's not probably broke, he's definitely broke.

He owed $2.5 million in legal fees at one point.

You're clearly not familiar with Larry Klayman. Should you avail yourself of this opportunity to Google Mr. Klayman, three minutes of research will convince you that your bolded statement above could not be more inaccurate.

apparently, hes also facing a 33 month suspension from the bar, as his antics have landed him in a lot of hot water with them. hes banned from 2 courts, and has faced a whole lot of ethics charges.

they fact he is pulling this stunt now in what appears to be the last little bit before before his likely suspension is hilarious.

What a crock of shit. Zimmerman is a disturbed individual, with a history of domestic abuse, violence and sexual allegations by a family member. He must be that desperate to file a lawsuit against someone he followed and killed. Sicko.

fox -

Attorney Larry Klayman announced the lawsuit in tandem with a Coral Gables screening of a documentary titled “The Trayvon Martin Hoax,” which has since been canceled. Zimmerman was scheduled to appear alongside Klayman at a Thursday news conference, but hours later, Klayman said the news conference was canceled, too.

citizen free press -
Sybrina Fulton, Martin’s mother, is listed as the lead defendant in the civil suit. She has pushed for far-left social justice causes in the wake of her son’s death. She is currently running for the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners, hoping to gain a county commission seat next year.
