I agree. I don't think it was just the prescription meds (illegal or not) causing the change in his physical condition/appearance. In retrospect, maybe he was giving money away while he was still here because he knew he wouldn't be around very much longer. $25 million to one cause is a massive donation, plus all the rest ... Maybe he gave to the causes he did because he didn't have a will or trust in place and he wanted the money to go where he wanted it to go, without anyone contesting a will or trust. I am still heartsick that we don't what was really going on.

I think he gave it away while he was around so it would get to the charity. James Brown and Ray Charles had trust and wills set up to provide for charities and their greedy ass children have fixed it so not one penny has gone to any charity.

We already saw how to greedy ass pathectic people pretended Paisley Park was going to be a charity to get artist to perform for free when they knew damm well Paisley Park was not going to be a non-profit. He knew that people will steal will or no will and as long as he was alive to give the money away it was going to go into the right hands.

He did the right thing. I believe no monies from his estate will ever go to charity if some people have their way.

Did Prince quickly become aware of the euphoric effects and became a substance abuser?

Was he part of the party crowd where these pills were being abused?

Was he cut off and turned to heroin?

Sorry to respond to your legit questions with another possibility but here goes: he began taking pain pills for athletic injuries and then again post-surgery (surgeries as per the autopsy report) but more important than dulling the pain and enabling him to perform (his hearts' delight) , these meds eased or eliminated the social anxiety that had plagued him his entire life...so performing became even MORE enjoyable...less pain/ more joy...who would give that combo up? Diminished sex drive? Hey, I'm so religious I'm celibate. Getting too thin, neglecting his health? Hey, I've always been a skinny guy and LOOK, I'm calmer, more at ease around people, better able to call someone up and have an authentic conversation . But you may be blowing your liver out? These things kill people? You're taking too many? But I'm PRINCE...and besides, everything is in Gods' hands, if He didn't want me to have these pills He wouldn't have made it possible for me to fill my Aleve and vitamin bottles with them. Except, everything in his life that he celebrated, longed for, attained...fame, fortune, love, love, love...he ultimately lost interest in and treated carelessly. There was no will/estate planning to ensure his money went to the places he envisioned and that his music was curated and released with exacting care, he was careless with his heart and the hearts of others, he left a lifetime of sexual and emotional betrayels in his wake; and, in the end, he was careless with his own precious life. I think the only grace and blessing in this tragedy is that he knew his fams would love him until the end of time.

You know he had social anxiety because you were his therepist?

He had a business struture in place as well as long term contracts for his music. So he had estate planning that as you can see cannot be screwed with. Now we are seeing media reports that even different formats for the music have different terms and conditions.

This article was from a month ago and I have tried to keep up with the news out of MN and the surrounding area to see if something similar happend around P's death. I just find it hard to believe he died from such a high dose of fentenyl and no reports like this occured after his death in his area. What are the chance he would be the only one to get a bad batch of pills.

Ohio Coroner Runs Out Of Room For Bodies Due To Spike In Opioid Deaths

DAYTON, Ohio (KDKA/AP) – For the second time this year, a coroner’s office in Ohio has run out of space for dead bodies due to the opioid epidemic.

The Trib reports the Montgomery County, Ohio office had 13 bodies yesterday, and 12 of them were overdoses.

Coroner, Dr. Kent Harshbarger, says they have already expanded the cooler once last year because space for 36 wasn’t enough, it now holds 42.

“If this pace continues, I’m not really sure what we’re going to do,” Dr. Harshbarger told the Trib. “It’s full every night.”

In February the coroner’s office also ran out of space due to the opioid epidemic.

Dr. Harshbarger said then that he was considering renting space at funeral homes in the community to handle the overflow.

He also reportedly rents refrigerated trailers that can be brought in when deaths spike.

“I’m looking at 2,900 autopsies, 2,000 of them overdoses,” Dr. Harshbarger told the Trib.

His office reportedly handled fewer than 2,000 autopsies total in 2016.

A Ohio crime lab that will focus exclusively on testing drugs such as opiates contributing to Ohio’s record overdose deaths was announced Tuesday.

Among the drugs tested by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation lab in Springfield will be heroin, fentanyl and carfentanil.

Attorney General Mike DeWine and officials from Clark County and Springfield planned to unveil the lab Tuesday.

BCI also operates crime labs in Bowling Green, London and Richfield.

Last year a record 3,050 Ohioans died from fatal drug overdoses, most of them heroin- or painkiller-related deaths.

I have asked myself this same question. The only answer I could come up with is that the illicit pills were black market/ordered over the internet from China. My main reason for this conclusion is that it was deemed that the U4700(sp?) was supposedly found in his system as well and this synthetic drug is usually manufactured in China from what I've gathered. Hunting a sole "dealer" in this scenario would be next to impossible, hence the dragging of the investigation(?)

Well what about the U.S. mails. I saw this on Facebook and I have been mulling this over.

Ohio couple charged for mailing, receiving packages with fentanyl, authorities say

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- An Ohio couple is facing drug charges after they received and mailed dozens of packages containing powerful opioid drugs, federal authorities said.

James F. Halpin, 30, and Grace A. Bosworth, 38, both of Cincinnati, are charged with illegally importing and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl after they sold drugs to agents with Homeland Security on the dark web, according to a U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of Ohio news release.

The agents purchased the drugs on the dark web in May, and the packages were received at a post office in Northern Ohio. The drugs were mailed from a post office in Newport, Kentucky. The drugs were tested and it was determined they contained fentanyl and carfentanil and other fentanyl analogues, authorities said.

The drugs are usually mailed from China, Hong Kong and other places abroad. Fentanyl is sometimes mailed to Canada before it touches U.S. soil, according to the news release.

At least 40 of the markings on the packages were matched by investigators with other parcels that were mailed from post offices in the Cincinnati area, authorities said.

Investigators said they determined Halpin and Bosworth were living at a home that received international packages containing drugs. Halpin would then mail the packages to addresses across the United States, the news release said.

In orange:That's my main thought.
Also, the U4770 comes from China mainly. If P's shipment would've been through the dark web/U.S. mail, my opinion is that these pheuekers would've been caught by now. Thoughts?

I would think if it was the mail they would have tracked every piece of mail sent to him by this time. I also have a hard time seeing him just radomly taking something from a strange source.

I could see him getting someone he trusted to get it for him. No paper trail leading to him and feeling that his source knew what they were doing.

I completely agree with the bolded...BUT, I don't know that we don't have to reconcile this to the fact that U4770 is not made here at all (like I stated, I think it's only made in China and is being sought out to be deemed a black market drug here with penalties if caught with - kind of like how you were able to buy bath salts or fake weed in the stores previously, but now that laws have passed on these substances, there are legal ramifications if caught with/caught selling now).

So IF in fact Prince was aware of this, then he knew it was taking a chance. With that said, I also believe that his "source" knew what they were doing. I personally can't reconcile that he would willingly just take something off the street, let alone from some unknown source overseas.

Another thing I have heard/seen in articles is that if something like these illicit pills are in fact ordered, then thay are "made to order" with full knowledge of what's in them. I don't have a link, but have read this before. I can't reconcile that either, nor the implications of it.

-just throwing out what I've seen in articles myself.

P.S. -don't quote me on the bath salt/fake weed stuff...I'm trying to give an example, and don't know all of the legalities on these substances, but I'm sure you get where I'm coming from

When you look at the article from the KSTP report and they tell the level of Fentanyl he had in his system this wasn't a random counterfeit pill death.

When they release the full information about this case some of you will start to understand this better.

I think these threads always split into two camps for some reason: those that automatically assume that anyone who uses/abuses drugs in any way whatsoever are losers and those who understand that drug use is fairly common and that not everyone who experiments with them winds up strung out and unable to function or even addicted.

Prince's addiction issues, whatever they were, don't lessen my opinion of him in the least and I'm not sure why they should. Plenty of highly creative, professional, artistic and accomplished individuals have take drugs at some point; prescribed or otherwise. Legal or not. Not everyone winds up like Amy Winehouse, Cobain, Hendrix or Joplin. I think it's a false stigma and I'm sort of surprised to see all the hysterical Nancy Reagan types in here clutching their pearls over the modern public perception of Prince after his death and the dumb shit that tabloids write.

I highly doubt Prince started out intending to become an addict (most people don't) and probably was genuinely sincere overall in his anti drug stance but (most people are). BUT, like most people, when something dangerous is PRESCRIBED and/or LEGAL it's viewed in a different light. Or at least it used to be. See things like xanax, diet pills (speed), valium, thalydimide, steroids. This is a very important distinction to make and I think a lot of people underestimate it: how being LEGALLY PRESCRIBED a drug removes a lot of the stigma, especially in the eyes and the mids of the user who uses that sheild to rationalize thier usage and to distance themselves from "Dope fiends". I've never had a problem with drug usage in and of itself and have done my fair share over the years including legal ones like Alcohol, cigarrettes, caffeine and "trucker speed".

Also, lastly, what's this about Van Jones being a 9/11 truther? I don't have strong opinions about Jones either way but I never heard that before.

Sorry herb4, but I missed a post from you where you may have described Prince as a "functioning drug addict" who had "tolerance." Happen to agree and would appreciate your take on why so many in the Org. are so willing (if not eager) to dismiss evidence and official reports. Cancer! The Russians!! Thanks herb4...you were typing your succinct reply as I was posting my question. Ditto here re loving Prince and revering his artistry which has nothing to do, IMO, with the trouble he found himself in with drugs. Sometimes the cool aid here makes me throw up in my mouth a little. As Joan River would say if she were on the Org.: GROW UP!

He doesn't know shit. He likes to speak in cyptic tones and make general loose prophecies and predictions about things that not only never come to fruition but don't even mean anything when they do. Like a telepsychic or something. For instance, I'm not sure how sharp a mind you have to possess to predict that when a posthumous Prince release is announced that some of the talk in the news surrounding it will mention opioid abuse. Well, I mean, no shit. It's high profile celebrity dying from a high profile problem. But Mule Funk thinks it's all part of a Bigger Story that Only He Has the Answers To and that the conflation of the two subjects proves something more sinister.

Actually, I'm not sure what the fuck Mule Funk anything proves but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for him to "spit out" anything more than chiming in to remind us that he predicted that opioid addiction might possibly get brought up when PR: Deluxe or something is released.

It's also worth pointing out that the Watson 385 (or whatever Watson # it was) had been discontinued a few years earlier (not due to hydrocodone dangers but because of [b]the toxicity of atecetomepohine and what it does to the liver[/b) so whatever Prince took was definitely counterfeit.

Search my posts. I've posted about it too much. It has something to do with coverups, murder, unanswered questions, Warner Bros, the Illuminatti...bullshit basically. Mostly, I think it has to do with some people's natural tendency to project infallibility onto their heroes, a lack of understanding and acceptance, a certain amount of straight up ignornace, a bit of denial and, in some cases, straight up crazy. To some, "official evidence reports" are just another part of the cover upand somehow "raise more questions then they answer", and adding to the suspicion. Because they haven't got the WHOLE story, they think something is being hidden which poonts to somethign more nefarious.

Basically, (and to paraphrase because I don't speak for them) it comes down to people's ignorance about the nature of addiction and what they think a "drug user" is like, near as I can tell anyways. Because, you know, NOBODY EVER wrote great music or created wonderful art while high. Please.

This whole horrible thing is a lesson on Occam's Razor and there's some real Alex Jones shit going on in these threads. For whatever reason, a lot of people here simply refuse to face the fact that Prince, in all likelihood, had a prescription pain medicine addiction that worsened over time and got out of control. It's basically "not MY PRince. Not the Prince that I KNEW!" As if they knew him.

Not in my opinion. You can not say your opinion is fact. How do you know if he was a "functioning drug addict" or "had tolerance"? How do you know these things?

Evidence and official reports.

We do not have any medical reports or data. What we have is hearsay all which is from a person caught telling lies to the police. We will get no info from his doctor or medical records.

Murdered like Tupac!!!or my fav, Somethig Else Must Have Been Going On!!!!!

Occam's Razor it has nothing to do with this at all. As we know all of the informaition has not been made avalible to the public. What we see is not all there is because we do not know all.

Hey herb4, thanks for your point of view and patience in elucidating it ad infinitum. I agree totally, especially the bolded above. A little theory of mine is that BC Prince 'changed up' his appearance and music so frequently , and was around for so long, he was able convince numerous and diverse groups of fans that they 'knew' the real Prince. Hell, Prince didn't know the real Prince! Yet each era of fandom is heavily invested in protecting 'their' Prince...so on the org. we get this echo chamber of denial, lack of logic, sheer ignorance and those who are bullied into submission by LR, etc.whose life is selling the not-my-Prince party line. I'm in Occam's Gang and being much older than the average org. member I've seen, done, experienced and survived A LOT. So, when I hear of someone being found dead in an elevator with their clothes on backwards and their vitamin bottles filled with street drugs...my first thought isn't that a car hit them.

No one on this board thinks he was hit by a car either. Pleny of people who actually knew have said he was not a drug addict and that we do not know the whole story. These statements are not being made up by orgers.

Loads of other things that are factual have not been fabricated by anyone on this board. What do not need is the continual project of ex-drug addicts telling us we do not understand addictions and giving us the same old tired stories about tolerence when obviously tolerence does not make a person look like a cancer patient on his last legs like Prince does in many of the pics popping up on the internet today but do not let the pics or the 65k on his inventory sheet for medical expenses mean anything to you.

I recently incurred a 33K medical bill for a 48 hr. hospitalization so 65K isn't a lot to spend if you've destroyed your liver, your digestive system no longer works, your throat hurts and you can't keep food down, etc. A body assaulted by these ailments won't look too hot...cancer isn't the only thing that takes people out.

Another pithy cogent contribution from herb4. I would also like to add - probably pulled from Mindflux orger's book of '101 Fun Facts' reading

... that Amy Winehouse, Cobain, Hendrix or Joplin were all age 27 when they died. Prince had another 30 years on them. And I'm not saying he was taking drugs as heavily as they did for like like 3 more decades.

But Keith Richards is the high water mark of drug taking in the industry, the true outlier, the final staging post for all washed up druggy musicians to look up to and say 'Hey that grim reaper guy perhaps ain't so scary after all' cool

That is exactly what many of us have been saying. See no one on here thinks he abducted by aliens or killed by the illumantti. We just do not think he was solely addicted to pain pills. In fact those that are on the drug addict narrative cannot seem to get into their noggins that he might have been overusing those meds because he was in pain from organ issues or cancer.

( Which to me is so what if he was pain so be it )

They continue to ignore the damage these meds can do to the organs over the long haul Rx or no Rx. I know he did not have those medical expenses from buying illegal drugs. If you had a bill for staying two days that went into 33k what do you think Prince might have been dealing with at 65k.

At some point people have to take a look at the entire stituation in a realistic manner. More info spilled out today that has more conveinced than ever that there is more to this story

^^Article on celeb whose opiate addiction issues started with an injury and prescribed painkillers. Same thing happened to Jamie Lee Curtis but she managed to quit.

There is a consistent theme here, that if you take opiates for whatever reason - whether for pain or recreationally - the nervous system responds to them in the same way.

So someone taking them for pain will be just as likely to become addicted to them - and probably even more so - as the recreational user. Taken longer than a month at a time, and the body will be physiologically addicted to them, and in the very same way, the user will

become psychologically addicted to them. Pain issues or no. I don't see what's so difficult about this for people to grasp? confused

I would love to know what light this new 'conveincing' information sheds. I mean, forgive me for being a little cynical, but there won't be any convincing testimony and without that it's purely a guessing game hmmm

And also, the whole paracetamol /acetaminophen deal I also find incredulous. For one thing, when I was half the age I am now, I knew that stuff was to be avoided long term (Maybe things are a little different in ol' USA).

But who was advising Prince - if anyone - and if he was taking
these pills counterfeit over a long period, that's just dumb? Plain dumb. Sorry, but there ain't a good counter argument to that.
