WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO PRINCE!

Just Watched 2010 Concert: Just makes me wonder what really happened to his health between 2010 where he was looking his usual self but at the end of 3rd eye girl started wearing the fro and looking deteriorated. He knew he was on his way out Why he started popping out Albums like crazy as he did during the symbol years as soon as he got the new contract in 2013 with WB suddenly gone.

We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced
when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

Nobody is going to tell u the truth. “He was a drug addict, hip pain,” seems to be the “narrative”. Kirk has stuff in his vault.

Everyone says they want to respect Prince’s privacy but in the same breath they tell you he had a drug problem that he somehow hid from everyone. Well which is it? You want to keep his private life private or you want to make sure we all think he was a secret drug addict? Can’t have it both ways.
I wish u heaven

I (and most of us) have wondered the same... If you look at his 2010 performances, he was dancing like he used to (mostly)... spins, twirls, crossing legs, etc. I believe he had surgery around 2008/2009. This was also the time when someone close was very concerned about his pain killer use... even posted here. Fast forward to the 3rd Eye Girl phase, and he looked great up until around early 2015... looked healthy and had a full face in the Arsenio Show. Then he declined dramatically and lost much weight, especially in the face.

"He's a musician's musician..."

I’m no expert, but it may be just a matter of bad batches of Fentanyl laced pills he was given during his last year that had a profoundly negative impact...on top of his existing addiction.

Although the concert had it’s musical moments, I always thought he appeared high or out-of-synch for Montreux 2013.

I saw Prince's epic show at Paisley Park in October of 2009. It was very obvious at that performance that something was wrong with him physically. Granted, it was a three-hour show - but by the second half, he was limping noticeably. I mean, to the point that he was almost dragging his left foot. I can see it in my mind's eye as clearly as if it were yesterday.

His hip problems are not a "narrative" - they are fact. He had a surgical scar on his left hip. That kind of thing doesn't happen by accident or as a result of something inconsequential.

People ask, "How could he perform at such a high level if he was in pain?" I'll tell you how. When you are a performer, no matter how awful you feel the second before you hit that stage or how awful you feel the second after you make your exit, you do what you need to do when you're out there. I have delivered performances when my throat was absolutely on fire or I had a terrible cough or a fever. I just put a cough drop in my cheek and went on. (Yes, I once performed an entire play with a cough drop in my mouth and no one was the wiser.) Maybe it's adrenaline, maybe it's professionalism, maybe it's love. People are depending on you - you just find a way until you absolutely can't, anymore.

I firmly believe that had Prince had proper pain management (and hadn't had to resort to illicit sources), he would be alive today. What we really don't know is why he didn't have that. Was it pride? Shame? Fear of people knowing he was struggling and having that blow his mystique?

That is the part we really don't know.

It’s quite easily done, my mum did the same, took painkillers etc, and got addicted to them. Prince must have been in pain, but tried to carry on with self medicating. And eventually took to much in one dose,

Except that isn't what happened. He didn't take "too much in one dose." He took something that had no effective dose, because it was an unregulated, uncontrolled, illegal substance. A pill that was pressed by a criminal and purchased on the street or over the internet. Prince died because he had no fucking clue what he was taking. He might just as well have sat in Paisley Park, put a gun to his own head, and played Russian roulette.

No. His surgery was in 2010 (confirmed by a person close to him). If you look at princevault.com for that year, you can see a long gap between his performances that year.

That the surgery occured in 2010 was also confirmed in the Ebony interview article conducted that same year. It is mentioned that Prince was limping due to a recent hip surgery.

It has also been noted that by 2011, Prince was dancing more actively in concert again (the 'Kiss' dance, etc.), which may be suggestive of at least a temporary improvement.

Excactly. The pill was spiked with a lethal dose of Fentanyl. There was no way Prince had any awareness of what he was really taking or what it contained. Tragically, he was simply killed by a poisoned counterfeit drug. This kind of contamination is now a near global epidemic. It's the kind of tragedy that can occur when you source medication from the street.

The only question, as you said, is why Prince resorted to acquiring painkillers illegally and chose to reject professional pain management. Particularly as the official versions of the drugs he was taking were common and available on prescription.

I don't know who mac Miller is but 3 people were arrested for selling him the fentanyl laced counterfeit oxy that killed him. There are pages and pages online on how rampant it is. Nothing about it is uncommon or unique. It's a bit disheartening to keep saying this is all about preserving his image, seems pointless at this juncture. All you're left with is an eve growing list of conspiracies.

The amount he had in his body and also the the incident the previous week he knew he could go on his own terms. My own feeling is that he was terminal, taking stronger and stronger meds, he was badly constipated, probably depressed and decide that as he probably didn’t have long went out on his terms. 21st a full Pink/Cherry moon and we all now how interested he was in moon phases and numbers (2+1+4)

I was at that show and I will support your story. I saw that also. Infact, I don't remember if it was after the first main set, or just before purple rain, but he was up against the speakers in very noticeable pain. But then he went out and magic happened.

It's probably easier to pop a pill than see a chiropractor and if you're doing it to alleviate physical pain you don't think of it as being drug dependent or a drug addict.

It's probably also "easier" (for lack of a better term) to secretly take a pill than to be guilted about possible eternal damnation and shunning by your biggest spiritual mentor for going through medical procedures that can save your life.

He trusted the wrong people!

Here's what bothers ME:

Prince died of an overdose of the drug Fentanyl. Of which, it is very highly fucking likely that he never even knew he'd taken.

Cycling is mostly fine for your hips unless you're doing a silly amount of it, and the corporate media would get a lot more money from selling sensation over a rather drab painkiller overdose story.

LOL. Oh man, take a step back and look at yourself. Like all conspiracy theorists you're correctly identifying a problem with the world and jumping to an insane diagnosis. Prince's last full band gig was a private party for a Russian billionaire, he wasn't fighting to take down any secret elite cabals.

As for Warner Brothers, do you realise how small the music business has become this past 20 years? Prince's work is worth a pittance on the scale of things.

Having said all that, the deletion of the instagram post caption, that has always left me wondering as well. It actually happened.

Still the same, just what i said, he thought he was taking painkillers so he could carry on living the life he wanted. That it had too much substance in it, was by the by, thats the risk you take buying or taking drugs from iilegal means. He wasnt stupid, he will have known it was illegal. And did reach out for help from that doctor, but it turned out it was too late. He was trying to carry on being Prince, still doing shows , still recording but he realised it wasnt possible and he needed to sort himself out by reaching out to that specialist doctor that flew out. He left it too late.

For what it's worth remember this. P was fully to blame - issues with meds are well documented from 2010 onwards...am I right in thinking he nearly died in 2010 too?

The creation of a purple mystery, creating a superhero image of timelessness, protecting the brand of Prince, not wanting to worry those around, intense need for privacy etc led to many dark tales of how he acted & self managed. It's tragic, it's brutal & it hurts like hell BUT just accept that he was human, had his faults & behaved like many people who were dependent on meds. He was surrounded by "yes" men & women because he designed it that way...any sign of resistance & you were gone.

100% agree that Kirky J , Phaedra , Jill & Meron need to be questioned fully again - probably more so on the shredding of documents & the stuff they bloody stole! However the upshot is that P made his choices & paid the price.

I am just so thankful for all he gave us & consider myself blessed to have lived in the era of Prince in real time.

Amen to this. The amount of artists who perform through pain is incalculable. If it's a physical performance it will take it's toll. It's the equivalent of asking an elite sports person to perform multiple times per week instead of once every weekend. Look at Gaga, she sufferes from an incredibly debilitating condition + she recently fell off stage which was horrific to see. Add the pressure of letting a huge audience / hardcore fans down, ticket agency potential to sue, record company pressure etc - is it any wonder a quick pop of a pill seems like the lesser of 2 evils?

Thank you.
Prince needed Two Narcan shots to be revived. That ain’t for flu.
He was on his way to DRUG Rehab, not cancer treatment or any other type of medical treatment that April morning.
Long term pain killer use has side effects on organs and symptoms like changes in sleep patterns, weight loss, and need for enemas. The coroner report confirm he had a hip replacement. Why do people believe he wasn’t in pain and would seek relieve form it so he could continue to be Superstar Prince?

Thanks. I didn't see where he was against the speakers (I was off to one side of the stage and he may have been hidden from me, at that point), but I totally believe you.

And, yes - that show was absolutely magical. It is the one show I would (almost) kill to have a recording of. Sadly, I don't believe one exists - except, perhaps, in the vault.

I think it was a tragedy and an episode of missadventure. Prince, we all know, was a VERY mentally strong person. He was also VERY proud and hated the idea of anyone knowing he was weak/sick/addicted/slipping, etc. He also strongly distrusted medicine and doctors, being a Jehovah's Witness. He thought, foolishly, that he could 'weather the storm' of any illness/sickness/physical pain, etc., privately and "under the table". Therefore, he procured drugs secretely from sketchy sources. That evening as he was alone in Paisley Park he was in a bit of pain and decided to take a few what-he-thought were painkillers. What he accidentaly took was laced with Fentanyl...and this killed him.

Also, he was busy, planning concerts, writing a biography, etc., at he time of his passing. Also, he was discovered outside the elevator on Level 1...a random place to take one's life. I think he was trying to get help (remember Prince had no cell phone)...

Accidental Drug Overdose.
